नेपाली कांग्रेसको १५ औं महाधिवेशनको तयारीका क्रममा सभापति गगन थापाले सुरु गरेको डिजिटल सदस्यता नवीकरण अभियानले पार्टीभित्र विवाद निम्त्याएको छ। शेरबहादुर देउवा र शेखर कोइराला पक्षले यस प्रक्रियामा असन्तुष्टि जनाएपछि पार्टीले ७७ वटै जिल्लामा केन्द्रीय प्रतिनिधि खटाएको छ। यसैबीच, संसदीय दलका नेता भीष्मराज आङ्देम्बेले प्रधानमन्त्री बालेन्द्र शाहले सीमा विवादबारे दिएको अभिव्यक्तिमाथि छलफल गर्न विपक्षी दलहरूको बैठक बोलाउनुभएको छ।
प्रधानमन्त्री बालेन्द्र शाहले नेपाल-भारत सीमाका विषयमा दिएको अभिव्यक्तिको विरोध गर्दै नेपाली कांग्रेस नेतृत्वको विपक्षी गठबन्धनले प्रतिनिधि सभा बैठक अवरुद्ध गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। सिंहदरबारमा बसेको नेकपा (एमाले) र नेपाल कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी लगायतका विपक्षी दलहरूको बैठकले प्रधानमन्त्रीको भनाइप्रति माफी माग्नुपर्ने र उक्त अभिव्यक्ति संसदको रेकर्डबाट हटाउनुपर्ने माग गरेको छ। यसैबीच, नेपाली कांग्रेसले सरकारका कामकारबाहीको निगरानी गर्न भीष्मराज आङ्देम्बेको नेतृत्वमा 'छाया सरकार' गठन गर्ने प्रस्ताव समेत गरेको छ।
