काठमाडौं उपत्यका ट्राफिक प्रहरी कार्यालयले मादक पदार्थ सेवन, अवैध राइड-सेयरिङ र तीव्र गतिका साथै ट्राफिक नियम उल्लंघन गर्ने हजारौँ चालकहरूलाई कारबाही गरेको छ। पछिल्लो २४ घण्टामा मात्रै १,८५४ चालकहरू कारबाहीमा परेका छन्, जसबाट राज्य कोषमा उल्लेख्य राजस्व संकलन भएको छ। यसका साथै, पटक-पटक नियम उल्लंघन गर्ने ३१ जना चालकको सवारी चालक अनुमति पत्र निलम्बनका लागि यातायात व्यवस्था कार्यालयलाई सिफारिस गरिएको छ। सडक दुर्घटना न्यूनीकरण र सवारी चाप व्यवस्थापनका लागि नागढुङ्गा लगायतका मुख्य नाकाहरूमा निगरानी बढाइएको छ।
The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has intensified its enforcement campaign, penalizing thousands of motorists for various violations including drunk driving, illegal ride-sharing, and speeding. In a recent 24-hour period, authorities took action against 1,854 drivers, generating significant revenue for the state treasury. Additionally, traffic police have recommended the suspension of driving licenses for 31 individuals found to be repeated offenders. This crackdown aims to reduce road accidents and manage increasing traffic congestion across major intersections and entry points like Nagdhunga.
2,903 drivers penalized for breaching traffic rules
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 127 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol, 281 for engaging in ride sharing contrary to regulations, 200 for disregarding traffic signals, and 176 for exceeding speed limits.
