Minister Timilsina Stresses Institutional Reform and Citizen-Centric Journalism

सञ्चार तथा सूचना प्रविधि मन्त्री डा. विक्रम तिमिल्सिनाले काठमाडौंमा आयोजित कार्यक्रमहरूमा संस्थागत सुधार र जनमुखी पत्रकारिताको आवश्यकतामा जोड दिनुभएको छ। सूचना प्रविधिको तीव्र विकाससँगै सञ्चार माध्यमहरूले जनताको सेवा गर्ने आफ्नो कर्तव्यलाई आत्मसाथ गर्दै परिमार्जित हुनुपर्ने उहाँले बताउनुभयो। यसैबीच, सार्वजनिक सेवा प्रसारण (पीएसबी) ले आफ्नो पहिलो वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन मन्त्री तिमिल्सिनालाई बुझाएको छ, जसमा उहाँले सरकारी सञ्चार माध्यमको पुनर्संरचनाप्रति सरकारको प्रतिबद्धता दोहोर्‍याउनुभयो।

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Bikram Timilsina emphasized the need for institutional reform and citizen-centric journalism during recent events in Kathmandu. He highlighted that the rapid development of information technology requires media outlets to adapt while maintaining their duty to serve the public. Additionally, the Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) submitted its first annual report to the Minister, who reiterated the government's commitment to restructuring state-owned media.
