Supreme Court Halts Government Decision to Dismiss Student and Trade Unions

The Supreme Court of Nepal has issued an interlocutory interim order to halt the government's decision to dismiss student organizations and trade unions. A bench including Justice Shreekanta Paudel and a Constitutional Bench led by Acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla addressed separate petitions challenging the dissolution. The court has summoned both parties for further discussion on May 18 and requested a written response from the government within 15 days. This legal intervention follows writ petitions filed against the government's move to ban these professional and student wings.
