मध्यपूर्वमा जारी युद्धका कारण आपूर्तिमा अवरोध सिर्जना भएपछि भारतका सरकारी इन्धन कम्पनीहरूले १० दिनमा चौथो पटक पेट्रोल र डिजेलको मूल्य बढाएका छन्। इरानले हर्मुज जलडमरूमध्यमा गरेको नाकाबन्दीका कारण इन्धनको मूल्यमा चाप परेको हो। फेब्रुअरीमा युद्ध सुरु भएदेखि भारतमा सवारी साधनमा प्रयोग हुने इन्धनको मूल्य पाँच प्रतिशतले वृद्धि भइसकेको छ।
