राष्ट्रिय सभाको आइतबारको बैठकले प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य निर्वाचन (पहिलो संशोधन) विधेयक र मतदाता नामावली (पहिलो संशोधन) विधेयक बहुमतले पारित गरेको छ। प्रधानमन्त्री बालेन्द्र शाहको तर्फबाट कानुन, न्याय तथा संसदीय मामिला मन्त्री सोबिता गौतमले उक्त विधेयकहरू सदनमा प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको थियो। प्रतिनिधि सभाबाट सन्देशसहित प्राप्त भएका यी विधेयकहरूले निर्वाचन प्रक्रिया र मतदाता नामावली दर्तालाई अद्यावधिक गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेका छन्।
