चालू आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो १० महिनामा वीरगन्ज नाकाबाट २० अर्ब ७९ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको खाद्यान्न आयात भएको छ। यो गत आर्थिक वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा ३ अर्ब ८७ करोड रुपैयाँ अर्थात् करिब १५ प्रतिशतले कम हो। वीरगन्ज भन्सारको तथ्याङ्कले नेपाल भित्रिने अत्यावश्यक खाद्यान्नको आयातमा उल्लेख्य गिरावट आएको देखाउँछ।
