सिंहदरबारमा शुक्रबार बसेको संवैधानिक परिषद्को बैठकले मानबहादुर कार्कीलाई प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्तमा सिफारिस गरेको छ। बैठकले निर्वाचन आयुक्तका रिक्त पदहरूमा राजीव सुब्बा र गुरुप्रसाद वाग्लेलाई पनि सिफारिस गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। प्रधानमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालयमा भएको उक्त बैठकले निर्वाचन आयोगमा लामो समयदेखि रिक्त रहेका पदहरू पूर्ति गर्न यो निर्णय लिएको हो।

    संवैधानिक परिषद्ले मोरङका मानबहादुर कार्कीलाई प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्तमा नियुक्तिका लागि सिफारिस गरेको छ। सिंहदरबारस्थित प्रधानमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालयमा शुक्रबार बसेको परिषद्को बैठकले कार्कीका साथै राजीव सुब्बा र गुरुप्रसाद वाग्लेलाई निर्वाचन आयुक्तमा सिफारिस गर्ने निर्णय गरेको हो। निर्वाचन आयोगमा लामो समयदेखि रिक्त रहेका पदहरू पूर्ति गर्न यी सिफारिसहरू गरिएका हुन्। संसदीय सुनुवाइ प्रक्रिया पूरा भएपछि राष्ट्रपतिबाट उनीहरूको नियुक्ति हुनेछ।
