निर्वाचन आयुक्त डा. जानकी कुमारी तुलाधरले निर्वाचन आयोगको कार्यवाहक प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्तको जिम्मेवारी सम्हाल्नुभएको छ। रामप्रसाद भण्डारीको अवकाशपछि रिक्त रहेको पदमा तुलाधरलाई सो जिम्मेवारी दिइएको हो। यसैबीच, संसदीय सुनुवाइ समितिले संवैधानिक परिषद्द्वारा सिफारिस गरिएका प्रस्तावित प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्त मानबहादुर कार्की र अन्य आयुक्तहरू विरुद्ध उजुरी आह्वान गर्दै सुनुवाइ प्रक्रिया अघि बढाएको छ।
संसदीय सुनुवाइ समितिले निर्वाचन आयोगका लागि सिफारिस गरिएका पदाधिकारीहरूको सुनुवाइ प्रक्रिया औपचारिक रूपमा सुरु गरेको छ। सिंहदरबारमा बिहीबार बसेको समितिको बैठकले प्रस्तावित प्रमुख निर्वाचन आयुक्त मानबहादुर कार्कीको नाममाथि छलफल थालेको हो। बैठकमा निर्वाचन आयुक्तका लागि सिफारिस गरिएका राजीव सुब्बा र गुरुप्रसाद अधिकारीको योग्यता र उपयुक्तताबारे पनि समीक्षा भइरहेको छ।
