जल तथा मौसम विज्ञान विभाग र बाढी पूर्वानुमान महाशाखाले काठमाडौँ लगायत विभिन्न जिल्लाका साना नदीहरूमा आकस्मिक बाढी आउन सक्ने चेतावनी दिएका छन्। कोशी, नारायणी र कर्णाली जस्ता ठूला नदीहरूमा जलस्तर खतराको तहभन्दा तलै रहे पनि स्थानीय खोलाहरूमा मध्यम जोखिम रहेको बताइएको छ। किरीन खोला र बर्दिया जलमापन केन्द्रमा जलस्तरले सतर्कता तह पार गरिसकेकाले तटीय क्षेत्र र होचा भूभागका बासिन्दालाई उच्च सतर्कता अपनाउन आग्रह गरिएको छ।
बाढी पूर्वानुमान महाशाखाले आगामी २४ घण्टाभित्र नेपालका ४० भन्दा बढी जिल्लामा आकस्मिक बाढी आउन सक्ने चेतावनी जारी गरेको छ। कोशी, नारायणी, बागमती, कर्णाली र महाकाली जस्ता प्रमुख नदी प्रणालीहरूमा जलस्तर उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढ्ने अधिकारीहरूले बताएका छन्। कन्काई र कमला लगायतका सहायक नदीहरू आसपास बस्ने बासिन्दाहरूलाई उच्च सतर्कता अपनाउन आग्रह गरिएको छ।
