नेपाल दूरसञ्चार प्राधिकरणले दूरसञ्चार क्षेत्रलाई थप व्यवस्थित र प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाउन 'एकीकृत दूरसञ्चार नीति' को मस्यौदा सार्वजनिक गरेको छ। यस मस्यौदाले आगामी १० वर्षभित्र ९८ प्रतिशत जनसंख्यामा ब्रोडब्यान्ड पहुँच पुर्‍याउने र ५ वर्षभित्र ८० प्रतिशत जनसंख्यालाई ५० एमबीपीएसको उच्च गतिको इन्टरनेट उपलब्ध गराउने लक्ष्य राखेको छ। विद्यमान नीतिहरूलाई एकीकृत गर्दै दूरसञ्चार सेवालाई सुरक्षित र सुलभ बनाउने उद्देश्यले यो नयाँ नीति प्रस्ताव गरिएको हो।
