भक्तपुरमा सोमबार बौद्ध नेवार समुदायको महत्त्वपूर्ण सांस्कृतिक पर्व पञ्चदान श्रद्धापूर्वक मनाइएको छ। भाद्र कृष्ण त्रयोदशीका दिन मनाइने यस पर्वमा पाँचवटा दीपङ्कर बुद्धका मूर्तिहरूलाई नगर परिक्रमा गराइएको थियो। ऐतिहासिक मान्यता अनुसार जयदेव बज्राचार्यले सुरु गरेको यस पर्वमा बुद्धका मूर्ति र भिक्षुहरूलाई पाँच प्रकारका वस्तुहरू दान गर्ने परम्परा रहेको छ।
