नेपालभर आज धार्मिक विधिपूर्वक कुशे औंसी तथा बुवाको मुख हेर्ने दिन मनाइँदैछ। हिन्दू धर्मावलम्बीहरूले घरमा समृद्धि र कल्याणको कामना गर्दै पवित्र कुश भित्र्याउने गर्दछन्। धार्मिक विज्ञ प्रा. डा. देवमणि भट्टराईका अनुसार पुरोहितहरूले मन्त्रोच्चारण गरी ल्याएको कुश घरमा राख्दा शुभ हुने धार्मिक विश्वास रहेको छ। यस दिन सन्तानहरूले आफ्ना बुवालाई मिठाई तथा उपहार दिएर सम्मान प्रकट गर्ने र दिवङ्गत बुवाको नाममा श्राद्ध गर्ने परम्परा रहेको छ।
