म्याग्दी जिल्लाका पहिरो प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा शनिबारदेखि भूवैज्ञानिकको टोलीले फिल्ड अध्ययन सुरु गरेको छ। नेपाल भूवैज्ञानिक समाजका अध्यक्ष भास्कर खतिवडाको नेतृत्वमा रहेको उक्त टोलीलाई राष्ट्रिय विपद् जोखिम न्यूनीकरण तथा व्यवस्थापन प्राधिकरण (NDRRMA) ले समन्वय गरेको छ। अध्ययनमा जिल्लाका पहिरो जोखिमयुक्त क्षेत्रको स्थलगत मूल्यांकन गरिनेछ। बेनी नगरपालिकाका प्रमुख सुरतको पनि यस सन्दर्भमा उल्लेख गरिएको छ।
