राष्ट्रपति रामचन्द्र पौडेलले महाअष्टमीका अवसरमा काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका नौ प्रमुख देवी मन्दिर — नक्सल भगवती, गुह्येश्वरी, मैतीदेवी, कालिकास्थान, भद्रकाली, नरदेवी, रक्तकाली, शोभा भगवती र इन्द्रायणी — मा दर्शन तथा पूजा गरे। उनका साथ प्रथम महिला सविता पौडेल पनि सहभागी थिइन् र उनले टीका तथा प्रसाद ग्रहण गरे। दशैँको दशौं दिनको अवसरमा महानवमीका दिन राष्ट्रपति पौडेलले शीतल निवासमा नवकन्या पूजा गरे, जसमा नौ बालिकालाई नवदुर्गाको स्वरूप मानी पूजा गरिएको थियो र प्रथम महिलाले पनि सो पूजामा सहभागिता जनाइन्।
राष्ट्रपति रामचन्द्र पौडेलले नवरात्रका अवसरमा सोमबार काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका नौ शक्तिपीठमा दर्शन तथा पूजा गरेका छन्। उनले नक्साल भगवती, गुहेश्वरी, मैतीदेवी, कालिकास्थान, भद्रकाली, नरदेवी, रक्तकाली, शोभा भगवती र इन्द्रायणी मन्दिरमा पूजा गरी टीका र प्रसाद ग्रहण गरे। नेपाल न्युजका अनुसार दशैंका बेला राष्ट्रप्रमुखले उपत्यकाभित्रका विभिन्न मन्दिरमा दर्शन गर्ने परम्परा अनुसार यो भ्रमण भएको हो र राष्ट्रपति पौडेलसँग प्रथम महिला सविता पौडेल पनि सहभागी थिइन्।
