सर्बियामा विद्यार्थी नेतृत्वको आन्दोलनले लामो समयका लोकप्रिय नेता अलेक्सान्दर भुचिचलाई समयपूर्व संसदीय निर्वाचनमा पराजित गरेको छ। रोयटर्सका अनुसार यो मतदान भ्रष्टाचार र बढ्दो अधिनायकवादविरुद्ध करिब दुई वर्ष चलेको सरकारविरोधी प्रदर्शनपछि भएको हो। सन् २०२४ मा नोभी सादको रेलवे स्टेशनमा छाना खस्दा १६ जनाको मृत्यु भएपछि प्रदर्शन सुरु भएको थियो। भुचिचले सेप्टेम्बरमा समयपूर्व निर्वाचन घोषणा गरेका थिए।
