निर्वाचन आयोगले राष्ट्रिय परिचयपत्र तथा नागरिकता विभागको विवरण प्रयोग गरी मतदाता नामावली अद्यावधिक र प्रमाणीकरण गर्ने भएको छ। आयोग र दुई विभागबीच भएको सम्झौताअनुसार व्यक्तिगत घटना दर्ता तथा सामाजिक सुरक्षा व्यवस्थापन सूचना प्रणालीको विवरण प्रयोग गरिनेछ। आयोगका प्रवक्ता नारायण प्रसाद भट्टराईका अनुसार सो विवरण अद्यावधिकका लागि प्रयोग हुनेछ। राष्ट्रिय परिचयपत्र तथा नागरिकता विभागले आयोगसँग यस कार्यका लागि समझदारीपत्रमा हस्ताक्षर गरेको छ।
