काठमाडौं महानगरपालिकाले असनको ऐतिहासिक बस्तीको मौलिकता संरक्षण गर्न र परम्परागत व्यापार प्रवर्द्धन गर्न १८ अप्रिलदेखि 'सवारीमुक्त असन' कार्यक्रम सुरु गरेको छ। हरेक शनिबार कमलाच्छी चोकदेखि असनसम्मको क्षेत्रमा सवारी साधन प्रवेशमा रोक लगाइनेछ। कार्यवाहक मेयर सुनिता डंगोलले यो कार्यक्रम 'जीवन्त र समृद्ध असन' अभियानअन्तर्गत सञ्चालन हुने जानकारी दिएकी छन्।
