Expert Dr. Suryaraj Acharya Urges Review of Kathmandu BRT and Railway
पूर्वाधारविद् डा. सूर्यराज आचार्यले सरकारको आगामी आर्थिक वर्षको नीति तथा कार्यक्रममा समेटिएका पूर्वाधार योजनाहरूमा प्राविधिक पुनरावलोकनको सुझाव दिएका छन्। एकीकृत राष्ट्रिय यातायात गुरुयोजनाको सोच सकारात्मक भए पनि काठमाडौँमा प्रस्ताव गरिएको बीआरटी प्रणालीले ट्राफिक समस्या झन् जटिल बनाउन सक्ने उनले बताएका छन्। आचार्यले रेलमार्गको वर्तमान कार्यदिशामा सुधार गर्न र सडक, जल तथा हवाई यातायातलाई समेट्ने गरी प्रभावकारी योजना बनाउन आग्रह गरेका छन्।
Infrastructure expert Dr. Suryaraj Acharya has called for a technical review of the government's proposed infrastructure plans in the upcoming policies and programs. While welcoming the concept of an Integrated National Transport Master Plan, he expressed concerns that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Kathmandu could worsen traffic congestion. Acharya also suggested that current railway projects require a revised direction to ensure technical and economic feasibility.
