नेपाल औषधि उत्पादक संघ (एप्पोन) ले स्वदेशमै उत्पादन हुने औषधिहरूको आयातमा रोक लगाउन सरकारसँग माग गरेको छ। चितवनमा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रममा उत्पादकहरूले विदेशी औषधिसँगको प्रतिस्पर्धाका कारण स्वदेशी उद्योगहरू गम्भीर दबाबमा रहेको बताएका छन्। उनीहरूले आन्तरिक उत्पादनलाई प्राथमिकता दिन र स्वदेशमै बन्ने औषधिको हकमा कच्चा पदार्थ मात्र आयात गर्न दिने नीति ल्याउन सुझाव दिएका छन्। हाल नेपालमा करिब १०० वटा औषधि उद्योगहरू सञ्चालनमा रहेका छन्।
