लमजुङको मर्स्याङ्दी गाउँपालिकाले स्थानीय बासिन्दालाई मासिक ५० युनिटसम्म नि:शुल्क विद्युत उपलब्ध गराउने घोषणा गरेको छ। 'जलविद्युतबाट आम्दानी, उज्यालो मर्स्याङ्दीमा लगानी' शीर्षकको यो कार्यक्रम गाउँसभाबाट स्वीकृत भएपछि आगामी वर्षदेखि लागू हुनेछ। गाउँपालिका अध्यक्ष अर्जुन गुरुङका अनुसार स्थानीय सरकारले जलविद्युतको लाभ समुदायको हितमा परिचालन गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ।
