कृषि, वन तथा वातावरण मन्त्री गीता चौधरीले हालसम्म देशभर ५ लाख १२ हजार मेट्रिक टनभन्दा बढी रासायनिक मल वितरण गरिएको राष्ट्रिय सभालाई जानकारी दिनुभएको छ। मंगलबार मन्त्रालयको बजेटमाथि सांसदहरूले उठाएका प्रश्नको जवाफ दिँदै उहाँले असार १९ गतेसम्म ५ लाख ५८ हजार मेट्रिक टन मल आयात भइसकेको बताउनुभयो। मन्त्री चौधरीले धान खेतीका लागि आवश्यक पर्ने रासायनिक मलको अभाव नहुने र सहज उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित गरिने दाबी समेत गर्नुभयो।
