नेपाल सरकारले निजी स्वास्थ्य संस्थाहरूले प्रदान गर्ने सेवामा ३ प्रतिशत 'स्वास्थ्य समता शुल्क' लागु गरेको छ। आर्थिक विधेयक २०८३ मार्फत ल्याइएको यो व्यवस्थाले स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रका पहलहरूका लागि स्रोत जुटाउने लक्ष्य राखेको भए पनि यसले बिरामीहरूको उपचार खर्च बढाउनेछ। यो शुल्क आजदेखि काठमाडौं लगायत देशभरका निजी अस्पताल तथा स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रहरूमा कार्यान्वयनमा आएको छ।
