सूचना तथा सञ्चार मन्त्रालयद्वारा गठित छानबिन समितिले नेपाल टेलिभिजनको स्याटेलाइट ब्यान्डविथ खरिदमा २० करोड ५० लाख रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको आर्थिक अनियमितता भएको फेला पारेको छ। सञ्चारमन्त्री विक्रम तिमिल्सिनालाई बुझाइएको उक्त प्रतिवेदनले सम्झौता नवीकरणका क्रममा सार्वजनिक खरिद ऐन र नियमावलीको गम्भीर उल्लंघन भएको उल्लेख गरेको छ। यस अनियमितताका कारण सरकारी स्वामित्वको नेपाल टेलिभिजनलाई ठूलो आर्थिक क्षति पुगेको छानबिनले देखाएको छ।
