नेपाल सरकारले आगामी साउन ८ देखि १४ गतेसम्म काठमाडौंमा आयोजना हुने तय भएको १७औं अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय तिब्बती अध्ययन सम्मेलन रद्द गरेको छ। दलाई लामासँग आबद्ध प्रतिनिधिहरूको सहभागितालाई लिएर चिनियाँ दूतावासले आपत्ति जनाएपछि सरकारले यो निर्णय लिएको हो। काठमाडौं विश्वविद्यालयको हिमालय सेन्टर फर एशियन स्टडीज र रङजुङ येशे इन्स्टिच्युटले संयुक्त रूपमा यो प्राज्ञिक कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्ने तयारी गरेका थिए।
