शरदीय नवरात्रिको दोस्रो दिन सोमबार देशभरका भक्तजनहरूले दुर्गाका नौ रूपमध्ये दोस्रो रूप ब्रह्मचारिणी देवीको दशैं घर तथा घरघरका पूजा कोठामा विशेष पूजा गरे। यसअघि आइतबार नवरात्रिको पहिलो दिन शैलपुत्री देवीको पूजा गरिएको थियो र वैदिक विधिअनुसार घटस्थापना गरी जमरा राखिएको थियो। नौ दिनसम्म चल्ने यो पर्वमा दुर्गाका नौ रूपको क्रमशः पूजा गरिन्छ।
