चितवन जिल्लामा चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो तीन महिनामा २३४ जनामा स्क्रब टाइफस पुष्टि भएको छ। जनस्वास्थ्य कार्यालय, चितवनका अनुसार पुष्टि भएकामध्ये १४२ जना चितवन जिल्लाका बासिन्दा छन् भने ९२ जना उपचारका लागि चितवन आएका अन्य जिल्लाका व्यक्ति हुन्। कार्यालयका भेक्टर नियन्त्रण निरीक्षक राम केसीका अनुसार १,८१६ नमुना परीक्षणबाट यी केस पत्ता लागेका हुन् र हालसम्म कुनै मृत्यु भएको छैन।
