नेपाल प्रहरीले तिहार, नेपाल सम्बत् र छठलगायत प्रमुख चाडपर्वलाई केन्द्रित गर्दै 'विशेष सुरक्षा योजना, २०८३' लागू गरेको छ। प्रहरी मुख्यालयका अनुसार चाडपर्वको समयमा शान्ति र सुरक्षा कायम राख्न तथा सम्भावित आपराधिक र अप्रिय गतिविधि रोक्न आवश्यकताअनुसार प्रहरी परिचालन गरिएको छ। यस व्यवस्थाले चोरी, डकैती, जुवा, सट्टा, झगडा र अन्य आपराधिक गतिविधि नियन्त्रण गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ।
