बाढीपछि हैजाको जोखिम बढेसँगै स्वास्थ्य तथा खाद्य सुरक्षा मन्त्रालयले नुवाकोटमा ८०,५२३ र रसुवामा २१,००० डोज हैजा विरुद्धको खोप पठाएको छ। स्वास्थ्य मन्त्री निशा मेहताले बाढी प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा स्वास्थ्य सामग्री तुरुन्त पुर्याउन निर्देशन दिनुभएको थियो। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठनको सहयोगमा प्राप्त खोपहरू नेपाली सेनाको हेलिकप्टरमार्फत रसुवा पुर्याइएको छ र त्यहाँ बिहीबारदेखि खोप अभियान सुरु हुनेछ।

    गत भदौ १० गते (अगस्ट २६) को भोटेकोशी बाढीपछि हैजाको जोखिम बढेसँगै सरकारले रसुवामा २१ हजार डोज खोप पठाएको छ। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) को सहयोगमा प्राप्त यी खोपहरू आइतबार नेपाली सेनाको हेलिकप्टरमार्फत रसुवा पुर्‍याइएको हो। बाढीले खानेपानी प्रणालीमा क्षति पुर्‍याएपछि फैलिन सक्ने जलजन्य रोगहरू नियन्त्रण गर्न यो कदम चालिएको हो।
