अष्ट्रेलियाले नेपालको बाढी राहत तथा पुनर्लाभ प्रयासका लागि थप १५ मिलियन अष्ट्रेलियन डलर सहयोग घोषणा गरेको छ, जसले हालैको कुल आपतकालीन सहयोग २६ मिलियन अष्ट्रेलियन डलर पुगेको छ। यो घोषणा बिहीबार मेलबर्नमा नेपालका परराष्ट्रमन्त्री शिशिर खनाल र अष्ट्रेलियाका परराष्ट्रमन्त्री सिनेटर पेनी वोङबीच भएको द्विपक्षीय वार्ताका क्रममा गरिएको हो। दुई मन्त्रीले नेपाल-अष्ट्रेलिया सम्बन्धको समग्र अवस्थाको समीक्षा गर्दै आपसी हितका सम्पूर्ण विषयमा विचार विमर्श गरे र दुई देशबीचको घनिष्ठ, दीर्घकालीन तथा सौहार्दपूर्ण सम्बन्धप्रति सन्तुष्टि व्यक्त गरे। खनालले यसअघि उपलब्ध गराइएको ११ मिलियन अष्ट्रेलियन डलरसहित अष्ट्रेलियाको सहयोगप्रति धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गरे।
