काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा भरपर्दो, गुणस्तरीय र दिगो विद्युत् आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित गर्न माटाटीर्थ-स्युचाटार १३२ केभी प्रसारण लाइनको क्षमता विस्तार तथा सुदृढीकरणको काम भइरहेको छ। नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणले पुराना तार तथा कन्डक्टरलाई उच्च क्षमताका नयाँ तारले प्रतिस्थापन गर्दैछ। ऊर्जा, जलस्रोत तथा सिँचाइमन्त्री बिराजभक्त श्रेष्ठको सचिवालयका अनुसार यही कामका कारण शनिबार र आइतबार काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा विद्युत् आपूर्ति प्रभावित हुन सक्छ।
