चितवन जिल्लामा विगत नौ महिनामा ८० नयाँ एचआईभी संक्रमण भेटिएका छन्। सन् २०२४ जनवरीदेखि उच्च जोखिम समूहमा गरिएको परीक्षणका क्रममा यी संक्रमण पत्ता लागेका हुन्। भरतपुर अस्पतालमा एड्स हेल्थकेयर फाउन्डेसन (एएचएफ) ले २२३ जनाको परीक्षण गर्दा संक्रमित भेटिएका थिए। नयाँ संक्रमितसहित यो अवधिमा कुल ९१ जनाले एन्टिरेट्रोभाइरल (एआरभी) उपचार सुरु गरेका छन्।
