मधेश प्रदेशमा अघिल्ला वर्षहरूको तुलनामा यस वर्ष गहुँ उत्पादनमा कमी आएको छ। कृषि विकास निर्देशनालयका अनुसार ३ लाख ७३२ हेक्टर क्षेत्रफलबाट कुल ५ लाख ४३ हजार १६० मेट्रिक टन गहुँ उत्पादन भएको छ। औसत उत्पादकत्व प्रति हेक्टर १.८ मेट्रिक टन रहेको छ भने धनुषा जिल्लामा सबैभन्दा बढी उत्पादन भएको छ।
