गत आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ मा चितवन जिल्लाका विभिन्न अस्पतालमा उपचारका लागि आएका ८९३ जनामा स्क्रब टाइफसको संक्रमण पुष्टि भएको छ। स्वास्थ्य कार्यालय चितवनका अनुसार कुल ११,४१९ जनाको परीक्षण गर्दा सो संख्यामा संक्रमित फेला परेका हुन्। भेक्टर कन्ट्रोल निरीक्षक राम केसीका अनुसार संक्रमितमध्ये ६२१ जना चितवनकै बासिन्दा हुन् भने अन्य बाहिरी जिल्लाका रहेका छन्।
