इजरायलले कब्जा गरिएको वेस्ट बैंकको रणनीतिक क्षेत्रमा १,२०० नयाँ बस्तीका घरहरू निर्माण गर्ने योजना अघि सारेपछि बेलायत, फ्रान्स, जर्मनी, इटाली र क्यानडाले त्यसको कडा निन्दा गरेका छन्। यी पाँच राष्ट्रहरूले एक संयुक्त विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै इजरायलको यस कदमलाई 'अस्वीकार्य' भनेका छन् र योजना तत्काल फिर्ता लिन आग्रह गरेका छन्। अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय कानुन अनुसार यस्ता सबै बस्तीहरू अवैध मानिन्छन्, जसका कारण इजरायलमाथि कूटनीतिक दबाब बढेको छ।
